On August 10, at the "2019 Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) Alumni Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition & G30 Global Elite Universities Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition" (Shanghai Division Finals), the multidimensional database platform (Intcube OLAP) developed by Beijing Intcube Technology Co., Ltd. won the Excellence Award in the Shanghai Division of the "Celebrating HIT's Centennial" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. The product successfully advanced to the finals and will participate in the live broadcast of the finals on CCTV's "Entrepreneur Hero Hub" program on September 25.
The "2019 HIT Alumni Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition & G30 Global Elite Universities Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition" was held during HIT's centennial celebration. Despite the landing of Super Typhoon Lekima in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region, numerous organizers, volunteers, and participants actively engaged in the competition amid the stormy weather.
The competition was hosted by the HIT Alumni Entrepreneurship Business School, the G30 Global Elite Universities Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Association, and the Software Engineering College of East China Normal University. It was co-organized by the HIT (Weihai) Entrepreneurship Business School, the HIT Yangtze River Delta Alumni Entrepreneurs Association, HIT Venture Capital Group, HIT Alumni Entrepreneurship Club, HIT Zhejiang Alumni Association, HIT Jiangsu Alumni Association, HIT Harbin Alumni Association, HIT Beijing Alumni Association, HIT Shenzhen Alumni Association, HIT Xi'an Alumni Association, HIT Shanghai Alumni Association, HIT Silicon Valley Alumni Association, HIT Japan Alumni Association, HIT Canada Alumni Association, HIT Germany Alumni Association, HIT U.S. Alumni Association, HIT Entrepreneurship Alumni Federation (Lilac Association), HIT Hainan Alumni Association, HIT Nanjing Alumni Association, and the Yangtze River Valley Intelligent Manufacturing and Robotics Industry Alliance, among others.
It is reported that the Shanghai Division preliminaries featured 30 projects selected from over 60 submissions by HIT alumni in the Shanghai region. The shortlisted projects covered fields such as wireless communication, AI, new energy, new materials, smart technology, medical big data, big data enterprise management, robotics, Internet of Vehicles, liquor industry, remote human monitoring systems, superconducting magnets, aerospace new media, energy and environmental protection, chips, and finance.
After the morning semifinal group competitions, 15 projects advanced to the finals. The afternoon finals, based on the top 15 selected from the morning's top 30, saw fierce competition, resulting in five winning projects. These included Intcube's multidimensional database and enterprise performance management (EPM) software, MicroPi Medical's in vitro diagnostic paper chip project, UV-curable new materials, a multi-dimensional service robot transportation management system, and Shurong Technology. Intcube will join these honored enterprises in representing the Shanghai Division at the finals, competing against outstanding projects from HIT alumni worldwide for the championship.
Intcube OLAP, which participated in the selection, stood out from over 60 projects in the Shanghai Division through preliminary, secondary, and divisional final rounds. Intcube OLAP is a multidimensional database (DW) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) platform with independent intellectual property rights in China. It serves as the foundational technical platform for data analysis, financial analysis, and management accounting application systems. Based on the Intcube EPM management suite, Intcube provides comprehensive budget solutions for various industries, including manufacturing, port logistics, healthcare, coal energy, real estate, education, government, and public institutions, meeting the needs of clients across different sectors.
The Intcube OLAP and Intcube EPM platforms are widely used in multidimensional data modeling and analysis, comprehensive budget management, budget execution control, business intelligence analysis, and other areas of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) informatization. They feature powerful multidimensional business data modeling and OLAP calculation engine capabilities, enabling the domestic replacement of multidimensional database software systems and EPM systems, ensuring independent controllability of informatization for Chinese enterprises.
