The client’s budgeting system is centered around a standardized design and management model, with the goal of building a quota database based on business activities and cost control. However, during offline budget preparation—driven by group-level reporting requirements—the process faced multiple constraints, including low accuracy, weak guidance, arbitrary data input, difficulties in data updates and retention, and challenges in performance evaluation. Intcube EPM provided a flexible solution that fundamentally addressed these inefficiencies and achieved closed-loop management in budget reporting, monitoring, and analysis.


▌ Project Process

Leveraging efficient methodologies and mature, advanced technology, Intcube redesigned the budgeting model in line with the client’s standardized manufacturing characteristics. The project established a complete comprehensive budget management system, including:

Integrating Data into Budget Preparation

As a continuous production-based standardized manufacturer, the client aimed to establish a quota database around target capacity-related business activities and cost control, initially realizing a standardized budgeting model for production and sales. Intcube incorporated production-supply-sales data, standard project packages, and expense quotas into the budget process. This formed a closed-loop management system starting from sales budgeting, covering administrative expenses, selling expenses, manufacturing overhead, and labor and cost-related production data. A digital twin model for smart manufacturing was established to enable dynamic data linkage.

Streamlined and Efficient System

Master data and budgeting standards were decoupled and managed separately, with distinct forms for different functional units. This ensured a clean and clear system interface for each department, improved operational efficiency, reduced the workload of financial and related staff, and lowered operational and management costs.

Automated Report Generation

By adhering to the principle of “business detail sheets → account summary sheets → final reports,” the system automatically generated reports. Using a multidimensional database as the core, it enabled:

To facilitate data processing and review, Intcube provided a variety of form templates through unified data pathways and standards. Different budget forms—such as labor budgets, R&D budgets, and management forms—were separated and presented to employees at various levels based on usage needs.

Through the implementation of Intcube EPM, the client established an efficient comprehensive budgeting model centered on business activities and cost control for achieving target production capacity. The client possesses standardized design and management features including verified material quotas, labor hour standards, and service time quotas for product installation.

This project exemplifies the characteristics of a standardized manufacturing enterprise: continuous production processes with fixed sequences, where products can exist independently. Production focuses on controlling parameters such as material quantity, quality, and process metrics.
